Detailed route descriptions are given below the table and updated timings. Good luck, and enjoy yourselves! You and your partner/family are invited to a BBQ at Ken's house from 7pm onwards. Take your own food and drink: Ken will provide the Barbeque facilities.

 Section 1: 13 miles. From the car park in Shap village head for Keld (553144). On joining the fell take the path up Stackhouse Brow. Traverse White Crag and Seat Robert before dropping down to Mosedale Beck. Following the path up Mosedale and over Gatescarth Pass head for Harter Fell and on to Mardale Ill Bell. Round by High Street to Stony Cove Pike and on to the Kirkstone Pass Inn car park.

Section 2: 11 miles. This is a cycling road section to ODG Hotel at the far end of Langdale

Section 3: 6 miles. From the ODG Hotel head up The Band, passing by Stool End Farm to Three Tarns. Down to Lincove Beck. Follow until it joins the Esk. Follow to Jubilee Bridge car park at the foot of Hardknott Pass.

Section 4: 8 miles. Traverse to Birker Fell Road. Take direct route to the Corney Fell road summit at Stoneside.

Section 5: 7 miles. To Silecroft over the summit of Black Combe.
